WILKINS MICAWBER FIRE - JAN 1997

The Wilkins Micawber(built:1996) caught fire as she crossed the river from Canary Wharf in January 1997.

The cause was later found to be due to oil leaking onto the hot surface of the turbocharger causing the engine room to catch fire. She had a total of 12 passengers onboard, all of which were evacuated safetly.

She was later rebuilt and now operates as the THAMES SWIFT
